At Carbon Comms, all NBN services operate using IPoE (IP over Ethernet) — also referred to as Dynamic IP or Automatic IP.
Our network configuration allows your modem or router to automatically obtain an IP address and connect to the internet without requiring any manual authentication setup.
Please note:
Carbon Comms does not use PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet).
No username or password is required for authentication.
This configuration ensures a simple, secure, and seamless plug-and-play experience across all supported NBN technologies.

Great service. You get to speak to someone in Australia for support. I had a dodgy NBN connection and previous ISP couldn't (or maybe wasn't able to?) find a solution, but with George's help, the NBN connection issue was quickly identified and a few days later we had an NBN technician visit and replace the faulty equipment and cable. Friendly, helpful, value for money (paying a little bit more than the previous ISP but 20x the speed). It's been 7 months since I changed over to Carbon Comms and very satisfied with the service.

George was absolutely amazing I met him on Saturday Night and bu Monday afternoon I had NBN fully running with a speed of 200 MBS My old provider said I can only get 25MBS. He was very quick and very efficient with his work I also changed my Mobile services with him and the new sim cards where in the mail by Tuesday and running with 5mins of connecting. I would highly recommend George and Carbon Comms to any looking for a better provider and good customer service.

Moved over to Carbon Comms from Tangerine as I was sick of waiting hours on hold for tech support. I read countless positive comments about Carbon Comms (and particularly George). In the time to took to research and cut over to them, I'd have still been on hold with Tangerine's tech support! Pleased to say that all the positive comments are accurate. The on-boarding process was so simple and I'd have probably been cut over within minutes if I hadn't provided the wrong AVC. But George personally called me to help resolve that quickly. Highly recommend Carbon Comms. It's refreshing to have excellent customer service these days.

If there are more than 5 stars to choose, I will give them all to Carbon Comms. The communication is very clear. No hidden cost. No marketing. No upselling. I have asked for a higher speed plan, but my building cannot accomodate it. Carbon Comms called me immediately to arrange the plan that suitable and even cheaper! They also guided me to how to set up the network over the phone. I feel good to support Australian local business and received amazing service from them.
And it took less than 30 mins for them to sort things out from signing up. Very fast service. Highly recommended.

Title: Spintel was a nightmare – Carbon Comms actually fixed the problem
I was with Spintel for a few years, and unfortunately, the service got progressively worse. For the last six months of 2025, the internet dropped from 2–3 times a month to 2–3 times a week. From October 2025 to February 2026, outages happened 3–4 times a week – sometimes 2–3 times a day. In some days it went down from morning to late afternoon for the whole day.
Every time I called Spintel support, I got the same response: “It’s an NBN issue, nothing to do with us.” No ownership, no follow-up, no solution.
In early February 2026, I finally switched to Carbon Comms. Initially, I had similar dropouts, which was frustrating. But then I spoke to George Elias. He listened, promised to raise the issue directly with NBN, and called me back a few weeks later to confirm the problem had been addressed.
Since then – not a single outage. Reliable, stable internet at last.
One bitter note: When I closed my Spintel account, they charged me a full month’s fee for just one day of use. That sums up their attitude.
If you want a provider that actually works with you (and NBN) to solve problems, go with Carbon Comms. George made all the difference.

I have been with many providers over the years, big and small, after 4 years of being a Superloop customer, I was not unhappy with them but was after a better deal and Carbon Comms had that covered, I have only been with them for four days and the entire on-boarding process was super smooth, great service and great value/ I shall be recommending them going forward.
